The Uxbridge Council on Aging offers the services of a professional grief counselor. His name is Dr. Carl Schultz and he is available to meet with clients on Tuesdays from 1 - 3 p.m. at the Senior Center. We discovered the need for this service after realizing the wide range and different types of losses one experiences over the course of a lifetime.
For example, one may have to consider retiring a driver's license, downsizing to senior subsidized housing, or perhaps one is coping with a hearing loss, vision loss, or loss of mobility due to a stroke, hip and/or knee replacement, together with the many various different types of memory loss. Dr. Schultz is here to help caregivers cope and individuals to learn to manage such losses. He is also available to offer grief counseling after the death of a loved one.
To arrange an appointment, call the Senior Center at (508) 278-8622.
