COA Mission Statement
Mission Statement
The mission of the Uxbridge Senior Center and the COA Board is to link needs with services and to promote wellness programs that educate and empower elders to maintain their quality of life. An additional mission is to raise community consciousness concerning the many services, programs, and activities offered at the Senior Center.

The Council and Senior Center Services

Hot Meals
  • Nutritional heart-healthy hot meals prepared each day on site. Served Monday - Friday at the Senior Center, Chef - Lynne McPherson 11:30 - 12:30, Join Us! Call 278-8622
  • Transportation to/from Medical Appointments in Blackstone Valley and to the Providence VA hospital. Call Sue @ 278-8622
  • Transportation to Walmart on 2nd and 4th Thursdays each month.
Social Events and Classes
  • Senior Club 2nd & 4th Wednesday
  • Bingo, Scrabble, Card Games, Tri Ominos & Puzzles every Wednesday @ 9:30 AM
  • Holiday trips and shopping
  • Computer Classes Every Monday 3:00 - 4:00 PM
  • Yoga Classes Every Thursday 1:00 - 2:00 PM
  • Provides Annual Flu Shots
  • Provides a Podiatry Clinic
  • Prescription pickups and drop-offs at Hannaford's and CVS
  • Provides VNA Blood Pressure Clinics
  • Assist Seniors with SSI, MediCare, and MediCaid (open enrollment Oct 15 - Dec 7 & Medicare)
  • SHINE Services including help with all health insurance questions, prescription drug plans, Social Security, Medicare and Mass Health questions
  • Provides Counselors for Health Insurance Assistance
  • Assists Seniors to complete Prescription Advantage Applications
Additional Services
  • Administers the Senior Work Off Program
  • Fuel Assistance Application (SMOC)
  • The Senior Center will help you to complete the necessary forms. There is a considerable amount  
  • AARP Income Tax Help every February - April
  • Notary Public Services to Seniors
