    FULL TIME POLICE OFFICER VACANCY

    The Uxbridge Police Department is accepting applications for a full-time police officer.  The Town offers competitive starting salary, college education incentive, and a comprehensive benefit program.  All applicants must have successfully completed the MPTC Certified Police Academy, lateral transfer candidates preferred.  This position is a non-civil service position.

    Minimum requirements:
    Must be 21 years of age on appointment date.
    Be a High School Graduate or possess a G.E.D.
    Must have a valid Driver’s license.
    Must have the ability to possess a Massachusetts license to Carry Firearms Permit.
    Must statutorily qualify for appointment: No person who has been convicted of a felony or any offense punishable under MGL Chapter 94C.
    The applicant must pass a comprehensive background investigation prior to appointment.  The applicant will be required to successfully pass a medical exam, a psychological exam, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts PAT fitness test, and must be able to perform the duties of a police officer.
      
    Applicants are advised that MGL Chapter 22C section 10 prohibits police officers from using any tobacco products.  The Town of Uxbridge is an equal opportunity employer.
