Summary of Responsibilities
The purpose of the Committee is to design/build a Town website primarily to serve as an virtual Town Hall for the residents of Uxbridge and secondarily to provide information about the town. The website was launched in May, 2005 and has included the Town Charter, Bylaws, Zoning Bylaws, Annual Town Reports, Budgets, Town Meeting Warrants and Minutes, and agendas and minutes for many Boards and Committees.

Content on the website is provided by members of Boards and Committees and Town Hall Staff. The Senior Center publishes a monthly newsletter of information for Seniors. Department Heads publish monthly status reports, and the Town Manager publishes reports to the Selectmen. Each Department and Committee has its own page for information specific to the department or board.

In 2007, and again in 2008, the website was recognized by Massachusetts Common Cause Campaign for Open Government as meeting all criteria for a municipal website which promotes open government.
