Pout Pond Recreation Committee

Pout Pond is a public recreation area on 70 West River Road in Uxbridge.  It is open to the public year round, 9am to dusk; however, our active season runs May through September.  The park offers use of the pond for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. There are walking trails, a large picnic area, and lots of space for relaxing on the sandy beach.

Summary of Responsibilities
While the Conservation Committee is responsible for the care and custody of the pond, The Pout Pond Recreation Committee is responsible for planning and managing the recreational use of the pond. Our mission is to provide a fun, safe, clean, family-friendly, outdoor activity space for members of our community to enjoy. Past events included Community Day, Music on the Pond afternoons, Cardboard Boat Regatta in conjunction with Uniquely Uxbridge, presentations with the National Audubon Society, and an Outdoor Movie Night. Families and groups have also used the beautiful area to celebrate birthdays, gatherings, and special events.  An attendant is on duty from Memorial Day (weekends ONLY until school lets out) through Labor Day.  Please see Pout Pond Beach Rules, posted on this page, as all visitors must adhere to expectations upon entry.
