Housing Authority
Summary of Responsibilities
The Housing Authority is responsible for the following, according to Chapter 121B,§3 of the M.G.L.:
- Clearance of substandard, decadent or blighted open areas
- The provision of housing for families or elderly persons of low income
- Land assembly and redevelopment projects, including the preservation, restoration or relocation of historical buildings
- The Uxbridge Housing Authority was established in July 1948 to provide veteran’s with affordable housing. Since that time, the Uxbridge Housing Authority’s mission has expanded to provide safe, secure, and affordable rental housing for families, elderly, and the disabled. The Administrative Office is located at Calumet Court, 508-278-3232 fax: 508-278-3232. The office is open Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 3:30 pm or by appointment. The Maintenance Office is Located at Centennial Court, 508-278-5642 for afterhours emergency calls. Staff is on site Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Emergency repairs will be completed after hours by calling 508-278-5642.
