DPW Roadway Project Fog Seal Locations for 2026-06-25

Fog Seal Map

The DPW Highway Division contractor, INDUS, will be conducting fog sealing operations on Upton and Rock Meadow Roads. The street resurfacing program in Uxbridge this year includes a method called “FOG SEAL”.  We will be fog sealing the following streets on June 25, 2026.

Upton Road and Rock Meadow Road

A Fog Seal is a minimally disruptive, preventative maintenance surface treatment designed to preserve and extend the life of a street.  It consists of spraying a thin layer of specialized asphalt on the existing road surface and allowing it to cure. Your road may be closed for a few hours with the treatment cures.  This closure will be controlled by the Uxbridge Police Department.  The fog seal on your street will be completed in one day.  Work will not start before 7 am and will finish before dusk.

While the fog seal is being placed and cured, NO VEHICLE ACCESS TO OR FROM YOUR DRIVEWAY WILL BE ALLOWED.  It may take a couple of hours to fully cure after being sprayed in front of your house.  If there is a traffic cone in front of your driveway, we ask that you do NOT pull into or out of your driveway until it has been removed.  This is to prevent damage to your driveway as the fog seal cures.  Please plan accordingly.  At all times, watch for direction from the Uxbridge Police Department.  We ask that you talk to our crew inspectors if you will need access to your driveway during curing and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

The fog seal requires dry pavement to cure properly so we are asking residents to please refrain from watering their lawns on the days we are working.  If the pavement is wet, it will take longer to cure and will delay road opening.

On-street parking will be prohibited during this time.  You will be given as much access as the work allows and the DPW-HIGHWAY DIVISION will do their best to minimize any inconvenience.

Please note that work schedules are often altered by unforeseen events such as scheduling conflicts with other utility work, weather, etc. which may result in delaying the fog seal.  We will do our best to keep you informed.

If you have any questions or concerns, please send an e-mail to [email protected] or call 508-278-8626.

Thank you!
