300th Anniversary Committee

Welcome! The 300^th Anniversary Committee was established by the Select Board to coordinate festivities related to the 300^th Anniversary of Uxbridge (incorporated June 27, 1727) in 2027.

The Committee will research, evaluate and make recommendations to the Select Board on an overall plan for, Town-wide activities commemorating the 300^th Anniversary of the Town of Uxbridge. 

The Committee will consist of 9 members and up to 5 alternates appointed by the Select Board; alternates would be called upon to attend a meeting that does not have a quorum, and those alternates would be chosen in the order in which they were appointed as alternates.

Summary of Responsibilities:

- Develop and recommend to the Select Board a comprehensive
          plan for celebrating and promoting the 300th Anniversary
- Work with and coordinate the activities of Sub-Committee volunteers,
          as needed
- Solicitation for Gifts pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter
          44, Section 53A (G.L. c. 44, § 53A)
- Make recommendations to the Select Board for the expenditures
          of funds appropriated by Town Meeting, or donated to the Town
- Shall account for all program-related revenues in accordance with
          procedures set by the Select Board
- Deposit of sums from programs and activities with the Town Treasurer,
          as required by law
