Drop-Off Details

•Available to Uxbridge residents only-please bring your I.D.•Sharps must be in acceptable collection containers•All containers must be closed/locked at time of submission

.•Do not overfill containers. Containers must be locked!•Coffee cans, detergent, bleach, milk, or other types of containers will NOT be accepted.

•If your sharps are not in approved containers, you will be asked to take them home for transfer to approved containers.

•Sharps are only accepted in the Board of Health office and when staff are available.

•DO NOT drop off or leave in unsafe locations!

Acceptable Collection Containers: Home sharps will only be accepted in approved sharps collection containers. Approved sharps collection containers must meet the requirements of the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration and be marked with the international biohazard symbol. Approved containers may be purchased at various local retailers, pharmacies, and online.
