New List of Available Open Space Areas to Explore

Nature is Still Open For Business in Uxbridge

It can be a challenge during the COVID-19 State of Emergency to know where to go to enjoy nature. Some places can get too crowded for safe social distancing, while others may be closed. Currently, West Hill Dam is closed, but all State Parks and Town Conservation Land remain open. Visitors are advised that if the first place you visit is overly crowded, to please find another place to walk. Luckily, there are lots of good options in town. Here is a list of trails that are currently open to aid in your adventures. This information is subject to change; we will try to keep this document updated but call ahead or check online to be sure. You can find the state parks updated information here

Here's some best practices to stay safe while walking:

  • Stay within solitary or small groups, and avoid gatherings
  • Practice social distancing of at least six feet between individuals;
  • Administer healthy personal hygiene, such as handwashing for at least 20 seconds;
  • Participate in only non-contact recreational activities;
  • Leave a park or area should large gatherings begin to build; and,
  • Stay home if ill, over 70, and/or part of a vulnerable population.

Happy Trails!
